We’re proud to announce that Flybits was named to the Digital Finance Institute’s list of Canada’s Top 50 Fintech Companies for 2019. Supporting Canada’s startup community has long been a priority for us — that’s why our CEO and founder Dr. Hossein Rahnama co-founded The DMZ at Ryerson University, recently named the #1 university-based incubator program in the world. The Digital Finance Institute’s award recognizes our continued commitment to growing Canadian tech as well as our innovative use of context-aware computing to help financial institutions deliver targeted offers, experiences, and content to their customers. We use data science and cohesive data ecosystems to empower financial institutions to advance their digital transformation and personalization efforts more than ever before.
Customers today demand a flexible, hyper-personalized experience from brands. By leveraging both proprietary customer data and external contextual data, our platform enables financial institutions to deliver on this promise without compromising on safeguarding customer data. We tailor our privacy and security features to the financial industry’s unique and ever-changing needs, ensuring banks remain in compliance with regional, national, and global regulations. In an industry that has long been ill-served by one-size-fits-all technology solutions and legacy SaaS providers, we take great pride that Flybits’ contextual intelligence platform stands out.
Canada’s leading think tank for fintech and AI, the Digital Finance Institute, bases its Top 50 list on in-depth market research and informational interviews with industry stakeholders. Looking at companies in sub sectors from insurtech to Blockchain, researchers score each organization along metrics including disruptiveness of service, scalability, growth, external adoption, and innovation. A carefully weighted average yields each company’s final score.
We’re so honored to have secured a spot among so many other great Canadian fintech companies. Factors like financial inclusion and disruptiveness are not the only characteristics we share with the rest of the Top 50. The list’s authors note that many of the companies included “not only leverage technology to solve local problems in the finance sector, but also provide solutions at a global scale,” and Flybits is no exception.
In fact, some of our greatest successes have taken place outside of Canada. For example, a Latin American bank that partnered with Flybits saw a 164% increase in offer redemptions. Flybits also powers the Mastercard Contextual Engagement Solution, which allows card issuers and merchants to engage cardholders around the globe with personalized offers, services, and content.
The Digital Finance Institute’s Top 50 Fintech Companies list points to a bright future for Canadian fintech. We’re very excited to be a part of it!
