How did you get into the startup industry?
Since I started my career in the technology industry, I have always worked in large companies. I had the opportunity to join a startup in 2013, and since then I always wanted to be part of the startup world. I’m always motivated by technology innovation, a collaborative environment and exponential growth.

Why did you join the Flybits team?
I always liked working in companies with products that can impact people in their routine. When I met Flybits, I wanted to join the team. Flybits has a collaborative working environment and cutting-edge technology. This encourages me to seek continuous improvement.

What’s one of your favorite memories from the past year?
I think that not only myself but many people miss the way things were before the pandemic. The best memory I have is being able to go to the office, meet with the team, attend events, with no 6 feet social-distancing requirement.

What’s the biggest misconception people have about your position?
Some people only remember that there are CloudOps/DevOps Engineers when some application or service gets down or laggy.

All the hard work we do to maintain websites, applications, get the services up and running is huge. Always automating and monitoring as much as possible to avoid downtimes and speed up the continuous delivery of new software versions.

So next time you experience an application or service is up, running and fast, just remember that probably one or more CloudOps/DevOps is working hard to keep them like this ;-)

If you could snap your fingers and become an expert in something, what would it be?
It would be awesome if every finger snapped I could learn a new language, even a new programming language would be great!
