You have been here since the beginning. What’s your story?
I was aware of Flybits since 2013 and watched its growth over time. I reached out to the Founders when they wanted to expand internationally and joined Flybits in July 2019. Since then I have been successful in engaging with several banks in the Middle-East and Africa, and building our Dubai presence as the hub for serving our customers, and supporting our channel partners.

What attracts you to your current role?
During my entire career, I’ve taken on roles where I could directly impact solving business problems by applying technology solutions. At Flybits, I have the opportunity to work with Financial Services. They have fascinating challenges to solve, and I really enjoy being able to contribute to the solution.

How do you measure success?
Delivering the desired outcomes for our clients. Our customers are our partners. We succeed only when they do. Our pricing is even structured like that. Recently, a newly acquired customer, referred us to another bank looking for solutions. That made my day!

It's a wild ride with a lot of long nights, early mornings, tough decisions, and wrong turns so make sure you enjoy the little things, smile as much as possible, and have fun.

Where do you see Flybits in the future?
The problem Flybits solves is something that every bank is struggling with and will eventually adopt a solution in time. Some banks move faster than others. In addition, there are other industries with large amounts of data and large consumer bases that require personalized engagement at scale (ie: healthcare and retail). I expect Flybits to be solving problems beyond Financial Services.

What’s your approach to learning?
Constant. I find online learning great. In my spare time, I teach coding and robotics to young students and see how learning can be fun, fast, and self-paced. So I’ve adopted it myself. You can find any topic online.
How would you describe yourself?
I get satisfaction from accomplishing meaningful things (tasks, projects, solutions). Earlier in my career, I built my own software company from the ground up, bootstrapped it, then raised venture capital, and eventually successfully exited after 10 years. To this date, 90% of the top 10 Telcos use the software that we built back then. I like to create value for others.

What do you bring to the table?
International experience working with different cultures, as well as functional experience in Sales, Product Development, Operations, and Professional Services in a scale-up environment.

Any final thoughts?
It’s true when people say ”pursue what you’re passionate about”. I am empowered to do exactly that at Flybits which builds solid trust and engagement with customers.
